Laguna Beach Boys Tennis Team took the Orange Coast Championships last week with an 18-0 sweep over Saddleback. The Breakers took the League Title this year with an 8-0 record.
Laguna also recorded impressive wins in Individual competition, with Teague Hamilton winning the Singles Orange Coast League Title and Morgan Lebby taking home the Finalist Award. Hamilton finished League play with a perfect record, while Lebby only lost 2 out of 21 League matches he played this season. Both Hamilton and Lebby have been Varsity Lettermen since their Freshman year, and expect to lead the Breakers to another title next year as Seniors.
Four newcomers to Varsity excelled at doubles play, with Jared Boetes/Matt Meisberger finishing in 3rd place and Casey Kimball/Andrew Koumas finishing in 2nd place behind Costa Mesa's Line 1 doubles team. All four are Juniors, so will have a chance for another title next year.
