CHILDREN'S BUREAU CLAMBAKE STEAMS UP SUMMER FUN AND FUNDS FOR PROGRAMS BENEFITTING AT-RISK FAMILIES

he Children’s Bureau Clambake steamed up fun and much-needed funds on June 8 at scenic Oak Creek Golf Club in Irvine.  More than 200 guests attended the popular charity event that featured inspired cuisine, dancing under the stars to the Susie Hansen Band, silent and live auction, wine pull, heads or tails game and other clam-filled surprises.  The night raised $190,000 net for Children’s Bureau’s child abuse prevention programs in Orange County.

Barbara Eidson, Peggy Goldwater Clay and Brenda Walters were the Event Co-Chairs while Eve and Mike Ruffatto were the Honorary Chairs.  Carman Wimsatt, a Children’s Bureau parent, shared her inspirational story in working with the agency’s foster care and adoption program.

Children’s Bureau (www.all4kids.org) helps more than 5,000 at-risk children and parents each year throughout Orange County with a variety of programs and services such as in-home counseling, parent education classes, collaborative participation in family resource centers, home visiting health programs and more.
