Receive Four Free Tickets to an Angels Game & Meet Former Angel Adam Kennedy on Saturday, June 7, 2014

OC Waste & Recycling, in partnership with the Discovery Science Center and Angels Baseball will provide free disposal of household hazardous waste on Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to noon for Orange County residents at the County’s collection center located at the Prima Deshecha Landfill in San Juan Capistrano. All participants will have the opportunity to meet former Angels infielder Adam Kennedy. The first 100 cars to bring household hazardous materials for disposal will have the opportunity to choose between four free tickets to an upcoming Angels game or four free general admission tickets to the Discovery Science Center.

Attendees can bring household hazardous materials such as old paint, used oil, pesticides and e-waste to the County’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center for free disposal. All visitors will receive free battery buckets for safe battery disposal as well as other promotional items, including reusable insulated shopping totes and Angels can coozies—while supplies last. Regular hours at the center are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

“The Angels are proud to be partnering with OC Waste & Recycling,” Angels Chairman Dennis Kuhl said. “We encourage our fans to participate in this event to help keep Orange County a safe and healthy place to live and look forward to seeing the Eco Challenge participants at Angel Stadium this season.”

ADAM KENNEDY – Former Angels infielder. Bring Angels memorabilia for autographs from the 2002 World Series Champion.

DISCOVERY SCIENCE CENTER – Eco Crafts will be available for children to enjoy.

CR&R ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES – Popcorn will be provided to all participants.

OC WASTE & RECYCLING – Learn about landfill operations and the County’s Eco Challenge Poster Contest where five lucky winners will serve as honorary bat kids at an Angels game. In addition, van tours of the landfill will be available to the public.

Angels Baseball – Tickets and giveaways will be available from Angels representatives.
