UPDATED: We Want a Recount! Laguna Beach Dalmatian Loses to a Pekingese

Ian the surfing Dalmatian loses the Westminster Dog Show's big prize to what appears to be a floor mop with legs.

UPDATED, TUES. NIGHT: Ian the surfing Laguna Beach Dalmatian lost the Best In Show trophy Tuesday night to a Pekingese named Malachy at the Westminster Kennel Club's annual dog show in New York City. Booo! Recount! But congrats to Ian and his owners Jim and Barbara Lyons, we're sure they're proud of their spotted little guy ...

ORIGINAL POST: Ian, a four-year-old Dalmatian owned by Jim and Barbara Lyons of Quicksilver Dalmatians in Laguna Beach, won the Non-Sporting category Monday at the famed Westminster Kennel Club dog show, held at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

This means that Ian will be competing Tuesday for the annual pooch pageant's top prize—Best In Show.
