Laguna Forum to Focus on Young Women's Strategies for Success

A forum in Laguna Beach this week will explore strategies for young women to be successful in today's world.

The "Spirited Women, Successful Careers” discussion will take place on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. and feature presentations from four career women who will discuss how they overcame academic and career obstacles. They will also share their best thinking on strategies for today’s young women to be successful.

The panel includes Laura Tarbox, a Certified Financial Planner and president of the Tarbox Group, a wealth advisory firm; Barbara  Hamkalo, Ph.D., Professor Emerita, Molecular and Cell Biology and Associate Executive Vice Chancellor at UCI; Pat Clark-White, Ed.D, Associate Dean and Professor at Brandman University; and Melinda Lester, Ed.D., Director of Institutional Effectiveness at the Art Institute confront these issues.

The women's forum is co-sponsored by AAUW-Laguna Beach (American Assn. of University Women) and the Woman’s Club of Laguna Beach. The Laguna Beach Woman's Club is located at 286 St. Ann's.
