A Cupcake Worth a Two-Hour Wait
Casey's Cupcakes officially opens to lines out the door. Fox's "Good Day L.A." will broadcast from the shop Friday morning.
Customers line up on opening night of Casey's Cupcakes in downtown Laguna Beach. Some people waited up to two hours for the shop—located at 303 Broadway—to open.
The shop is owned by and is the namesake of Casey Reinhardt, a bit player from the second season of MTV's pseudo-reality show Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. Reinhardt's parents own the historic Mission Inn in Riverside, where the first Casey's Cupcakes has been open for a year.
Fox's Good Day L.A. will be doing a live broadcast this Friday morning from Casey's Cupcakes starting at 8:30 a.m., when free cupcakes—featuring such flavors as Rockin' Red Velvet, Scrumptious Cinnamon Sugar, Blissful Banana and the February Cupcake of the Month, White Chocolate Cherry—will be handed out to the public for one hour.
