Twelve years ago, Tom Valter came upon a rusty old box he discovered in a closet of his newly-bought Laguna Beach home. In it were personal papers and photos belonging to one John I. Taylor.
Valter has been trying to locate Taylor -- or Taylor's family -- ever since, and return the items to him, without much luck.
There are a few clues, judging from the box's contents -- Taylor had been a Marine, lived in Santa Ana, and worked for the Los Angeles Archdiocese.
