Was That a UFO Over Laguna Beach Thursday Night? Watch the Video Here

There were reports of strange happenings in the sky over Laguna Beach last week. Did you see the weird lights? What do you think they were?

Laguna Beach has such a weird, colorful history that it's almost criminal we're not the UFO capital of Orange County. No, that title goes to Laguna Niguel. Seriously.

But maybe space aliens are finally realizing what an awesome place Laguna Beach is. And, judging by what happened Thursday night, maybe they're starting to hang out here more often.

Several people reported seeing strange lights in the sky above Laguna Beach on Thursday night, Aug. 23, according to the site ufostalker.com, which is pretty much the go-to source for people to report strange goings-on overhead.

"I was on my deck patio, in north Laguna Beach, covering my BBQ at around 9 p.m.," begins one of the reports by someone who's apparently anonymous. "I was facing south when I noticed 6 or 7 bright glowing red lights in the sky, about 45 degrees above the horizon, above or just south of Laguna Beach. The lights were glowing red/orange like fire. They did not appear to be solid, crisp structures. They were steadily moving northbound and maintained their altitude."

You can read the rest of the report at the link above. But this wasn't the only sighting Thursday. "Danny," who says he works at Katsuya on Coast Highway, apparently saw the same thing, and posted a response.

"I was taking a quick break outside with (a) few cooks and we saw those lights in the sky glowing red for 45 seconds then the(y) moved so fast and dissapered (sic) out (of) sight. Super stealth and didn't even make a sound. This is my 1st sighting. Now I'm a believer."

Someone also snapped a photo of the mysterious lights and posted it to another site, mufon.com. Another eyewitness, "Joe," managed to shoot video of the lights and posted it to YouTube, which you can watch by clicking the YouTube icon in the box on the above-right.

So, Laguna Beach, did you see the strange lights in the sky Thursday? And if you did, what do you think they were? Let us know in the comments box below ...

They look like anti-missile flares. Could the Marines/Navy have been on an exercise down south?

A strange paper hot air type balloon landed in my yard in North Laguna. I have a photo and also have the balloon. It has burn marks as it appeared to have been fueled by something that left black smoke on it.

A few days ago I was telling a friend here in Laguna about a dream I had. She proceeded to tell me about this incident, and it turns out that it was the same day. I dreamed that a space craft landed just outside my bedroom window. I could feel an extremely strong presence but saw no one. I was encouraged to go with them but refused, and had to mustar up all the strength I could to resist them. I kept thinking about my children and told them I simply refused to go with them..This was just a dream I guess, or was it?

I saw something that looked similar last night (Nov 18th, 2012) over in Trabuco Canyon, near the Cooks Corner bar. I posted the story on Facebook. I would say maybe 15 to 20 lights? Orange/yellowish, very bright, no order to them. Moving slowly and randomly. Several others saw it and as I write this, I'm still waitring for more feedback from them. We were all staring at them going "what the hell is this?". Just so you know, I've NEVER seen anything like this and I'm no fantasy, "little green men" type of guy. In fact, very skeptical. I did a computer illustration to show what it sort of looked like and I'll try to post a link to the picture. Remember, It's only a picture that I created on my computer. I hope one of the peoplke took a cell phone shot. I hope to find out.

Here is a link to my illustration: https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/207585_4569078357312_1947218720_n.jpg The objects were brighter and sharper than what I pictured but soeone else who was there agrees that this is close to what we saw ( I wish I was kidding!!)
