Watch: Forced Out of Laguna Beach, Animal Crackers Finds a New Home

Gina Katzenbedian's non-profit retail store and rescue center had to leave town in January -- but she's excited about the future.

Gina Katzenbedian, who owned and operated the Animal Crackers shop and pet rescue in the Aliso Creek Shopping Center in South Laguna for years, has moved to a new location.

Opened last Friday in a strip mall -- and not too far away from her many Laguna Beach friends and supporters -- the new Animal Crackers is at 24310 Mouton Parkway (at El Toro) in Laguna Hills.

This Animal Crackers will be much larger than her old locale, which Katzenbedian was forced to vacate after losing her lease. At her new place, there will be plenty of room for her rescue dogs to run around once renovations to what had previously been a beauty salon next door to the retail shop are finished. While that's being done, all the animals Katzenbedian looks after have been fostered out or are being temporarily boarded.
