World AIDS Day Today at Main Beach

Editor's note: The following information was submitted by the Laguna Beach HIV Advisory Committee.

The music will definitely matter on Laguna’s Main Beach (Cobblestone area) this Sunday, December 1st from 2-5:30pm on Worlds Aids Day, as elite musicians take the stage to honor the 25 million lives lost to AIDS, including the musical legacies of countless geniuses lost to the disease.

The City of Laguna encourages people to attend the annual day of reflection in honor of those who have have died of AIDS. The members of the HIV Advisory Committee, AIDS Services Foundation, Laguna Beach Shanti, and Laguna Beach Community Clinic will be there to welcome you, provide educational information and anonymous HIV testing and counseling.

Using funds from a grant awarded by the Laguna Beach City Council, HIV testing will be available at the Laguna Beach Community Clinic tent.  The results will be available in just 20 minutes.  The tents for private testing will be on the cobblestone area of Main Beach.  Free testing will start at 2:00 p.m. and continue until 5:00 p.m.
