Bonhsms & Butterfields Art Appraisal Clinic

Visit Laguna Art Museum on Tuesday, February 8 for an opportunity to have your art appraised by art auction house Bonhams & Butterfields. Bring your treasured item(s) from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m. to receive a verbal auction value appraisal. The cost is $5.00 per item. This is a great chance to find out what hidden treasures you may own!

During the 2010 art appraisal clinic at Laguna Art Museum, over 150 items were appraised. Exciting discoveries included a Renoir painting, a Tiffany lamp, a David Hockney lithograph, a 1950s Patek Philippe watch, and a 1949 Don Kingman watercolor.

Appraisals in the following categories will be offered:

- Paintings including oils, watercolors, drawings, and sculpture
- Fine prints and photography
- European and American furniture
- Decorative objects including bronzes, ivories, wood items, silver, ceramics, glassware, tapestries, and clocks
- Jewelry and watches
- Asian works of art

Appraisals in the following categories will not be offered:
- Musical instruments
- Rugs
- Ethnographic items
- Pre-Columbian objects
- Eskimo art
- Ancient artifacts
