Laguna Beach Garden Club Meeting ~ Pat Welsh

Garden Club Presents "Pat Welsh ~ Growing Winter Vegetables" 

Garden guru Pat Welsh will speak at the upcoming meeting of the Laguna Beach Garden Club on Friday, September 14th.

Pat Welsh is a reknowned Southern California garden gem ~ she was the first editor of San Diego Home /Garden Magazine, KNSD’s “Resident Gardener” throughout the 80’s, winner of the San Diego Emmy, three-time National Quill & Trowel winner, San Diego Horticultural Society’s Horticulturalist of the Year and Recipient of the Quail Botanical Garden’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

Pat will inspire us with tips for planting and growing winter vegetables. She will also share pearls of wisdom from her latest book, Pat Welsh’s Southern California Organic Gardening, Month by Month. Three of her seven books will be available purchase at the presentation.

For club members and guests the meeting begins at 9:30am with a social half-hour, followed by a half hour business meeting.  Pat Welsh’s presentation will begin at approximately 10:30am.  There is no admission charge for first-time guests.

Before or after the meeting and presentation, please browse the outdoor 'Garden Boutique,’ where donated garden-related items can be purchased at "dirt-cheap" prices.

Please note the new location of monthly meetings:  Laguna Beach Presbyterian Church, Tankersley Hall, 415 Forest Avenue at 2nd Street in downtown Laguna Beach.
