Lecture on Isamu Noguchi by Bert Winther-Tamaki, Ph.D.

Join us for a lecture and discussion on prolific Japanese-American artist and designer Isamu Noguchi (1904-1988) with UCI professor and Noguchi expert Bert Winther-Tamaki, Ph.D. Learn in detail about this multi-faceted and influential artist whose work is featured in Laguna Art Museum’s current exhibition Noguchi: California Legacy which examines the impact that Noguchi has had in California.

Mr. Winther-Tamaki is a professor of art history and visual studies at University of California, Irvine. His research interests include the history of modern Japanese art and visual culture, Asian American art, and the history of interactions between Japanese and American art worlds. He holds a Ph.D. from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University.
