"Who He"

...exotic cultures...peaceful spirit...profound...                                           …explorative imagination...thought provoking dialogue...relevant...                                                  All describe the artistry that is Miles Regis!!

One look at Miles Regis and you immediately know he’s an artist.  One conversation with him and you instantly understand the nature of his gift.  One glance at his work and suddenly it all comes together.  Whether it is the power of the images within his paintings, his humbled personality, or even his self-designed clothing, Miles embodies the truth of art - an often thought provoking reflection of the world around us.

Based in Los Angeles, Miles Regis is a Trinidadian-born artist whose work taps into the emotion and experiences of exotic cultures around the world and presents them in ways that are relevant to today’s modernized societies.  Over the years, the USC graduate has honed a technique that incorporates drip painting and collage work that is both unique and striking.  With a style reminiscent of many of history’s great master painters, Miles' imagination is saturated with notions, ideas, and images reflective of a world filled with conflicting interests.

His cultural duality and diverse perspectives play a large role in the humanistic consciousness he manages to present in his work.  With broad enthusiast appeal, his work has appeared in association with CNN, NextAid World's Day, CCH Pounder (Avatar, The Shield), Nicolette Sheridan (Desperate Housewives), American Rag Cie, Manifest Equality, Senegal's La Musee Borindar, Isaiah Washington (Grey's Anatomy) and several art communities around the country and throughout the world.

Tae Ho Kang is a Korean-American artist born in Seoul, Korea and currently based out of      Los Angeles, Ca.

“I would like to present to you this series – entitled "The Sublime." In this project, I want to describe the utmost moment of beauty. My work is inspired by nature: its forms and its colors. However, I do not wish to replicate nature as it is. The sublime is a euphoria that affects the deep recesses of one's consciousness. As is this experience of the sublime, my work is largely abstract. For me, color is one of the most powerful methods of portraying beauty. I blend and juxtapose different shades and tones to make them look their best. I want to show the viewer color as they have never seen it before. I want colors to look pure and fresh. The beauty in which I wish to capture is not merely superficial or simple. It has depth and many layers. And in the same way, there are many layers of ink and paint in my art. Color cannot stand alone. It needs forms and textures. In order to achieve the right structure, I use various techniques including: paintbrushes, knives and sometimes even a monotype printer. These different methods allow me express the depth of my subject. The sublime transcends any mundane moment and any reality. It is the ultimate experience of immersion in beauty.”-Tae Ho Kang

James Strombotne encapsulates all that is American contemporary art.  His work is simple, strong, flat and powerful.  The most striking aspect of his work is that it transcends the test of time.   Although he has been painting for over 50 years, his work remains to evoke modern stories in which he illustrates a specific point of view; a reflection of a universal moment in time and the examination of the human condition.

All of our artist’s work will inspire, provoke, engage and mesmerize.
