Photos: Laguna Beach's Only Radio Station Holds a Fundraiser

The theme Saturday was "beach formal" at the Surf & Sand casino night event, which raised cash for KX 93.5 FM.

Saturday was a proud evening for Tyler Russell and the staff and on-air hosts at Laguna Beach's only radio station, listener-supported KX 93.5 FM.

That's because the six-month-old non-profit station was having its first big fundraiser at the Surf & Sand Resort, a casino night that sold out just a couple of days before.

The "casino night" theme attracted a sold-out crowd, which was decked out in "beach formal" -- a.k.a. women in cocktail dresses and many men in jackets and shorts.
