Taylor Hawkins Will Get His Chevy Metal On for Mauli Ola

The timing couldn’t be better for the upcoming benefit show presented by Tightrope Entertainment. Happening on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, from 7pm to 1am, the extravaganza is just in time for the 4th of July holiday leading up to one of the best weekends of the year in Laguna Beach. Following up on an amazing show on the ocean front terrace of the Cliff Restaurant on May 31st, the upcoming July 2nd event will be held at the beautiful and multi-faceted private venue, Seven-Degrees, a premier Southern California event destination (http://www.seven-degrees.com/html/).

Taylor Hawkins, the multi-Grammy Award winning rockstar drummer from the Foo Fighters, along with his '70s dirt rock cover band Chevy Metal, will perform live as the evening’s headliner. As a member of the Foo Fighters, Hawkins has toured the world and played for sold out crowds of over 85,000 fans in venues like Wembley Stadium. Hawkins’ Chevy Metal cover band has played Saturday Night Live with Mick Jagger and Dave Grohl, Lollapalooza with Perry Farrell, and local clubs with Joan Jett. Raised in Laguna Beach, Hawkins is always a favorite among the locals upon his homecoming.

Also performing on the main stage at the July 2nd show is the up and coming Atlantic Records and Vanguard Records singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Robert Francis. The young artist has gained recognition with songs like "Junebug," which has garnered well over 1.8 million views on YouTube and has topped the charts overseas.  

The main stage will also include a performance from local favorite Nick I from Common Sense performing with A.D.D. Nick Hernandez (Nick I) has played the Warped Tour with Common Sense, written and recorded songs with Wyland, and recorded with the likes of Grammy Award winner Taj Mahal. 

A very special private performance will be shared among VIPs on the intimate second floor hillside terrace of Seven-Degrees. Anyone purchasing a VIP ticket will have access to this unique “show within a show,” and exclusive performances by local acts, such as Andrew Corradini and DJ SLi Dawg (Steven Chew).

The restricted access VIP show will be topped-off by an exclusive performance by Paul Mars Black, Ukulele Bartt Warburton and friends, performing as Black and Bartt. This will truly be one of the most exclusive live performances in Laguna Beach, and a perfect way to enjoy all that the night has to offer.
