Foster a Furry Friend: Make it a Happy Thanksgiving for Nadia

And her brother, who were found abandoned and alone.

Hi, I'm Nadia, a 10-week-old German shepherd. My brother (we don't have a name for him yet) and I are new to Animal Crackers Pet Rescue. We were found abandoned in Downey after being out all night alone.

We're eager to find new homes before we outgrow Gina's small space. My brother is slower to warm up to people than I am—in, fact he's been hiding under the bird cage while he checks out our new digs and assesses the other critters here. I know he will come around once he feels safe.

I'm more social, and have already made lots of friends. I'm also very bright, so you can teach me just about anything—I even paper-trained myself in one day. My brother isn't as smart as me, but I think he'll do OK. We're both soft and cuddly like teddy bears, and love to be snuggled like one. Playful and sweet, we'd both make a great companion for just about anyone. If you want to be our human, call 949-499-1988.

UPDATE: Animal Crackers' most recent prospect for a new home has fallen through, so they're still looking for a new space. Owner Gina Kantzabedian will need to leave by January, since ZPizza is moving in. If you know of a place, drop in at 30822 S. Coast Highway or call Gina at the phone number above.
