Free Slices This Saturday as Zpizza Celebrates Its Grand Re-Opening

Zpizza is back doing business in Laguna Beach, where the 100-store chain was founded in 1986 by Sid Fanarof.

The old location in the Aliso Creek/Albertsons shopping center in South Laguna was taken over by a Chase Bank after a lease dispute with the property owners forced Fanarof to find a new home.

The new locale is at 30822 Coast Highway, in the old home of Animal Crackers Pet Rescue, which has since relocated to Laguna Woods.

To celebrate the grand re-opening, the store will be giving away free pizza slices this Saturday, Aug. 24, between 3-5 p.m. Don't get greedy -- only one free slice per person.

Laguna's radio station, KX 93.5 FM, will be spinning music and broadcasting remotely from the event.
