French 75 Closes, To Be Replaced by Teemu Tavern & Grill

As in Teemu Selanne of the Anaheim Ducks ... will duck be on the menu?

From the French 75 website:

Since 1997, John Martin and Rudy Pollak have teamed up to bring the amazing world of French cuisine to Orange County with their award-winning Laguna Beach restaurant, French 75. After 15 fantastic years, these partners have decided to accept an offer and sell their restaurant to a well-known investment group. The unique and wonderful property on Pacific Coast Highway that French 75 has called home will soon be home to newcomer in the Orange County restaurant scene, Teemu Tavern & Grill.

Teemu Tavern & Grill is tentatively scheduled to open for business on April 1st, 2013, and will feature a traditional upscale neighborhood tavern and steak house in a sophisticated, yet casual environment. The partnership of Teemu Tavern consists of future NHL Hall of Famer and current Anaheim Duck Teemu Selanne, Businessman Kevin Pratt, and longtime restaurant operator Jim Shumate. We wish them the best of luck and much success in their newest venture. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the press, concierge, and all of our wonderful patrons, friends, employees, and suppliers for their continued support throughout the years. It has been a great pleasure sharing our passion for food and entertainment with you all. We look forward to continue serving you at Savannah Chop House in Laguna Niguel, as well as through our catering division.
