Get There Early: Montage Tree Lighting is Tonight

Tree lit at Sawdust's Winter Fantasy? Check.

Pepper tree lit in front of City Hall? Nope—not till Hospitality Night on Dec. 7, but the lights are already up.

And the Montage, what some in town consider to be their favorite tree-lighting of the season? Happening tonight. Here's what it looked like last year.

The main rule is to get there early—it will be crowded. But with carolers, cocoa, fake snow falling and cocktails aplenty, it's probably worth it. The ceremony and festivities all go down on the resort's Pacific Lawn starting at 4:30 p.m.
