Story submitted by the Girl Scouts of Orange County:
Laguna Beach businesswoman and entrepreneur Heidi Miller was recognized, along with 11 other accomplished women leaders by Girl Scouts of Orange County at their Celebrate Leadership Gala on Oct. 26.
Earning badges as a young Brownie in Denton, Texas, gave Heidi a sense of accomplishment, and she was always eager to add a new badge to her sash. As she earned her badges, Heidi found that she was good at a variety of new activities and learned the importance of working as a team.

Heidi carried these lessons with her, along with the fitness and nutrition expertise that she developed as a former gymnast and international bodybuilding champion, and opened one of the first nonfat frozen yogurt shops in Southern California – Heidi’s Frogen Yozurt. In just seven years, Heidi grew the business to 120 stores in nine states. A true entrepreneur, Heidi later opened Tight Assets, a clothing store in Laguna Beach, and reopened Laguna Beach’s beloved World Newsstand.
The Celebrate Leadership Gala, held at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach, was attended by more than 300 guests and raised $218,000 to help provide life-changing leadership development experiences for more than 23,000 Orange County Girl Scouts.
