Lifestyles of the Rich and Accused: Alleged Rug Store Rapist Evicted

Records show that Saeid Boustanabadi Maralan hasn't paid rent on his Laguna Niguel home since February.

Saeid Boustanabadi Maralan, the former manager of the since-closed Sirous & Sons rug gallery on Ocean Ave. in downtown Laguna Beach, who faces multiple charges of sexual assault and rape, is being evicted from his pricy Laguna Niguel home.

According to court records and published reports, Maralan hasn't paid rent on his $4.3 million home in the gated Monarch Point neighborhood since February. He's also being sued by the property owner, one Vladimir Feingold, for $30,000 in unpaid back rent.

Maralan agreed in June 2011 to pay $10,000 a month in rent for a year. He was served a three-day notice to pay rent or leave the house on May 12.

Maralan worked at Sirous & Sons until he got popped in September 2011 for allegedly showing pornographic images to a 17-year-old girl. With the publicity of Maralan's arrest, other women came forward with claims of sexual assault and rape, eventually raising the victim count to 11. Most of the incidents allegedly took place inside the rug shop.
