Photos: 'The Waterman's Wall' Goes Up in Downtown Laguna Beach

The installation of Laguna Beach artist Randy Morgan's bar relief sculpture, "The Waterman's Wall," began Friday along the Beach Street wall of the Hobie shop downtown.

The work may look painstaking, but Morgan says it will be completed in time for Nov. 29, when the street will be blocked off for the formal dedication ceremony.

"The purpose of the sculpture is to invoke a feeling of a day in the life of Laguna Beach," Morgan tells Patch. "This is about our ocean and our waterman culture we have in Laguna."
