“Three Photographers" Show at foaSOUTH Gallery Opens Saturday

The exhibit runs through March 15.

The Festival of Arts presents foaSOUTH’s newest show “Three Photographers” featuring Festival of Arts exhibitors Rob Gage, Robert Hansen, and Tom Lamb. The exhibit, on display until March 15, showcases their current work juxtaposed with their photographs from the Festival of Arts Permanent Art collection.

Works being shown include Tom Lamb’s “The Gates- Christo NYC” c. 2007, Rob Gage’s black and white photo “Strongman” c. 2010, and “Ancient Doorway” taken by Robert Hansen in Chaco Canyon, New Mexico c. 1990.

“Presenting these photographers work alongside the Festival’s Permanent Collection pieces is an excellent display of their ongoing expertise in their field,” said exhibit curator Pat Sparkuhl. “This exhibit features a wide range of subjects and photographic styles.”

ROB GAGE: Rob Gage has been an advertising photographer for over 40 years and is based in Laguna Beach, CA. He graduated from Art Center College of Design and was an instructor there for 15 years. He has served on the board of the Laguna Beach Art Museum. His clients have sent him to 67 countries of the world as well as 40 plus states. The assignments have varied ranging from building large scale sets to the staging of intimate portraits. http://www.robgage.com/

ROBERT HANSEN: Robert Hansen has been a commercial / fine art photographer for over 35 years. Graduating from Brooks Institute in 1978, Robert has made a living as a custom lab owner, an architectural photographer, conducting workshops and classes, and also exhibiting his fine art photography. Robert's fine art photography is a part of numerous private and commercial collections throughout the United States, Germany and Mexico. http://www.roberthansen.com/

TOM LAMB: Tom Lamb is a photographer, artist, adventurer, conservationist, environmental planner and successful entrepreneur. He is the founder and owner of Lamb Studio, a successful image and communica­tions studio.  Tom is a documentary photographer with a focus on the concerns for the environment, indigenous cultures and the built and natural environments. Tom holds advanced degrees from the Hartford Art School (HAS) in printmaking and a masters degree in photography from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). His work is widely published, commissioned, exhibited, and collected. http://www.lambstudio.com/

ABOUT FOA SOUTH

Opened as a collaboration between Festival of the Arts and Active Culture, foaSOUTH serves visitors and residents of Laguna Beach by promoting Festival-related exhibitions throughout the year. Located at 1006 S. Coast Highway on the corner of Anita and PCH, the gallery has partnered with Active Culture to provide frozen yogurt and natural foods on the premises at their café.
