Ms. Shana Johnson is an amazing artist who lacking in art education has a natural talent, style and creativity reflected by Claude Monet in his famed "Weeping Willow", her colorful imaginative and dynamic mastery of color excites the senses as a lunar scape of never before seen. Shana says, "As with most of us, life intervened and the painting got put on the back burner while I went to school as my focus was on sports such as surfing and cheer leading. I was even a contestant in the Miss California pageant, as a "lark". And then, I was involved in a tragic automobile accident. While I won't bore you with the details, suffice it to say that it was a chance to see the world through NEW eyes.

"I felt compelled to get back to painting because it gives me a feeling of being grounded and honest, and open to new experiences. The only other time I feel this way is when I'm in the water. I live near the beach so I go whenever  I can. It makes me feel renewed and centered. I like to think these are the emotions I am expressing in my paintings. I hope you agree."
