Vogue Salon Bring-Your-Own-Brush Event on June 6

Submitted press release by Vogue Salon:

Vogue Salon clients love their hair-- especially now that they can have the look of a professional blow-out every day, thanks to BYOB (Bring Your Own Brush), a “do it yourself” class designed to teach clients how to blow dry their own hair at home.

March’s BYOB, held during Thursday night’s ArtWalk, was a huge success with all nine chairs in the Hip District’s Vogue Salon Laguna Beach filled with enthusiastic clients, eager to learn the tips and tricks of styling from the professionals.

After champagne, hors d'oeuvres, and a brief introduction, attendees learned the appropriate products and tools specifically for their hair, and received personalized step-by-step directions on how to section, how to hold the blow dryer, and on how to use a round brush.

The result was nine women, ready for a night out at the art galleries, but also ready to create the same beautiful hair at home the next day. “We truly want our clients to be empowered to look their best, not only on the day of their appointment, but every day in between,” said Artistic Director Erin Alvarez.

“The hairstyling class is the best thing I ever did for my hair!” said Judy W., a Laguna Beach local and Vogue client.

Vogue Salon moved into The Old Pottery Place in the Hip District from its home inside the St. Regis Resort in Monarch Beach in November 2011.

Since its opening, Vogue Salon has periodically hosted the BYOB classes, with each one gaining in popularity and in length of its wait list, as more local clients hear about this unique opportunity. “We hear clients saying all the time that they’ll never be able to do this at home” said Alvarez.

“But they can do it, they just need a bit of guidance.”

Vogue Salon will host the next BYOB Thursday, June 6th at 6:30pm.
