Seniors Helping Seniors Job Fair

Seniors Helping Seniors (SHS) will be hosting job fair for potential senior caregivers at Laguna Woods Clubhouse Six on Monday, March 17th from 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

The job fair is open to all seniors in South Orange County. Refreshments will be served so please RSVP to 1-800-481-2488 if you plan to attend. If you do not live in Laguna Woods your name will be provided to the gate person for entry if you have RSVP’d. Laguna Woods Clubhouse Six is located at 5365 Albarrobo, Laguna Woods, CA 92637. 

“For seniors seeking flexible, part-time employment opportunities, SHS provides both rewarding work and financial benefits,” explained Sue Erskine, co-owner of SHS. “Many retired seniors are still seeking opportunities to earn additional income, enjoy flexible schedules and feel their work will benefit others. Working with Seniors Helping Seniors will allow them to achieve all of these goals.”

The services that SHS provides include companion care, light housekeeping, personal care, transportation, over-night supervision, 24-hour care, house maintenance and small repairs and yard work. In most cases the care is provided in the senior’s own home; however, occasionally the client may reside with a relative or live in an assisted living community or other group living setting and services can be provide there.

Seniors Helping Seniors San Diego recently acquired the Orange Country operations as part of its strategic expansion in California. Erskine, who along with her daughter Tricia Izadi currently provide caregiving services in several San Diego County communities.

“By incorporating Orange County into our existing operations, we can provide additional flexibility for families who might live in one of these counties but have a senior family member living in the other to ensure their loved ones receive the level of care they need,” Erskine said.
