Summer Camps at Ocean Institute Combine Adventure and Learning

Sign-up for adventure and learning at the Ocean Institute's Summer Camps--open to all for registration as of March 15.

Learn what it’s like to be a marine scientist.  Stand under a whale skeleton.  Travel back in time and race long boats.

The camps are a great way to have fun, enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience and inspire kids to be protective of our oceans and environment.

Summer camps get underway June 24 at the Ocean Institute.  Registration opens to all this Friday, March 15. Camps are geared to ages 5 to 17 who want an educational experience that also provides an adventure beyond the classroom.

Summer camps come in several versions:  week-long, multi-day and single-day.  More than 1,700 kids attended Summer Camps in 2012.

Adventures allow kids to discover life aboard a tallship or to become an undersea detective and more.  This will be the first year that some adventures will take place on the new Maddie James Seaside Learning Center.
