Heisler Park is the place to be this Monday morning ...

PRESS RELEASE FROM KATY MOSS OF THE LAGUNA BEACH EXCHANGE CLUB

Come out to Heisler Park on Memorial Day to celebrate the return of good weather and to greet your neighbors. Everyone you know will be there for the pancake breakfast.

The Laguna Beach Exchange Club and Laguna Beach Police and Firefighters are holding their annual Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast, from 7 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 27, in Heisler Park at the corner of Myrtle Street and Cliff Drive.

The Pancake Breakfast will immediately be followed at 11a.m. by the annual VFW and American Legion Memorial Day service at Memorial Point.

Food and other materials are graciously donated by Las Brisas Restaurant and the White House Restaurant. Firefighters will flip the flapjacks. The cost of the breakfast is $5.

Entertainment will be provided by Doug Miller on fiddle and violin, and Rosie Morreale on guitar and vocals. Dave Lopez will perform on bagpipes.

The Pancake Breakfast is a major fund-raiser for the Exchange Club. All proceeds from the Laguna Beach Exchange Club Pancake Breakfast are donated to child abuse prevention programs and community and youth projects. The local Exchange Club was instrumental in starting the Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center.

The identities of upcoming Exchange Club speakers and information on events can be found at LagunaBeachExchangeClub.org. Direct any questions to Katy Moss at 494-0703 or Jim Rue at 494-6684
