The Laguna Beach High Breakers' baseball team defeated Victor Valley on Friday afternoon by a 5-4 score, sending them on to a second-round game this Tuesday against La Sierra in their quest to become CIF Southern Section Baseball Division 4 champions.
The Victor Valley win was the team's 22nd in a row. The winner of the La Sierra game will advance to the quarterfinals.

Elsewhere in Breakers sports, the boys' volleyball team had a good run this year, going 19-9, but it wasn't enough to keep them from getting booted from the playoffs Saturday against Foothill.
