The city announced its annual free Music in the Park (this would be Bluebird Park) concert series, and it looks to be another booty-shakin' summer for live-music-lovin' Lagunans, even if Cubensis didn't land a booking ...

- July 14 Beatroots (Beatles)
- July 21 Aloha Radio (Surf)
- July 28 The Orquesta Cortez (Latin)
- August 4 Boxcar 7 (Blues, Soul and Classic R&B)
- August 11 The Police Experience (Police)
- August 18 Upstream (Reggae/Ska)
- August 25 Reflexx (80's New Wave Tribute)
And the rules: All shows start at 5 p.m., but no setting up before 3 p.m. Low-backed chairs are cool, but high-backed ones are not because you'll just annoy whoever sits behind you. And no dogs.
Dancing? Greatly encouraged, especially if you're really bad at it like everybody else!
