Author/Gardener Pat Welsh on Growing Organic Cool Season Veggies

Well known author, and expert on Southern California year round gardening, Pat Welsh, will be speaking on Growing Great Cool Season Veggies, the Organic Way.

Pat is the author of Pat Welsh’s Southern California Gardening: A Month-by-Month Guide which currently is in the top 10 books under Gardening & Landscape Design -> By Region -> West on Amazon.

Southern California's mild climate allows us to grow and enjoy edible gardens year round and Pat is well versed in teaching how to create and maintain a home garden.

The talk will focus on gardening in the cooler seasons and will be followed by a question and answer session during which the audience can ask advice on planting and growing a fall or winter garden in our Orange County area. Afterwards, Pat will be selling and signing her very popular books.

Pat is a well known and very popular speaker from Southern California. Her awards include rowel Awards from the Garden Writers of America, Horticulturist of the Year from the Cuyamaca College Botanical Society, the Lifetime Achievement Award from Quail Botanical Gardens, and most recently Horticulturist of the Year 2003 from the San Diego Horticultural Society.

Tickets can be bought ahead for $20-$22 a ticket or you can purchase a ticket at the door for $25.00.
