GREEK FESTIVAL SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO

The Greeks have
a word for it – Kefi! “Kefi” means joy, exuberance, fun, passion, the sense of
belonging. Come find your kefi at the first annual Greek Festival sponsored by
San Juan Capistrano California’s only Greek Orthodox Church, St. Basil’s. Join
us fun for the entire family Saturday September 21 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at
27129 Calle Arroyo, San Juan Capistrano (right off the 5 Freeway at Ortega exit
– next to 24 Hour Fitness). Admission and parking are free.



Experience the
spirit of the Mediterranean right in Southern California. Enjoy authentic Greek
cuisine including gyro’s, calamari, lamb chops, souvlaki, moussaka, Greek
salad, and more, to the delicious and delicate pastries baklava, theples,
melamacrona, and many others delicacies made by some of the best cooks using
old family recipes. Enjoy taverna style alfresco dining along with wine tasting,
beer, spirits, soft drinks and traditional Greek coffee. And, come into  our Sports Bar with two satellite televisions
for a cold beer, glass of wine, or ouzo while watching your favorite game.



Dance Zorba to live Greek
music by the most sought after performer in Greek music today, Takis. Feel the
warmth of Aegean breezes when listening to master bouzouki player Alex Galas.
Galas is a Giant Screen Cinema Award winner for his performance on the
soundtrack of Steve Woods IMAX soundtrack for the film “Greece: Secrets of the
Past”. For those not familiar with Greek dance there are easy lessons and
within seconds you will be expressing your kefi with shouts of “Opa!” from the
dance floor. Plus, the St. Basil dance troupe will perform traditional dances
