R Star Foundation Goat Lady's 10 Year Anniversary Bash!

Since you began in Laguna Beach, your on line paper has supported me, my  R Star Foundation with news releases and coverage.. We are having our 10th year celebration because of your help to get us seen and keep us visible!  Thank you. For me it is unimaginable we are as old as we are by the work we do in Nepal with great successes from our start with 89 goats toover 14,000 now credited to us; building and opening a primary school now serving 59 children from kinder care to 4th grade and growing a grade per year with our students testing in at the top 10% of the nation, 3.5 of the children girls… girls in a rural village seldom get an education which keeps them suppressed and incapable of taking care of their lives let alone their children; over 3000 women in various villages have graduated from literacy classes we brought them, some going on to higher education, some becoming teachers, many starting businesses because they can read, write and count.  We in our 10 years built 2 clean water wells,  one huge water well serving 3 villages and one in our school directly supporting healthier students more able to learn with scheduled water breaks; also distributed  400 water filters to as many families in higher regions and serve over 44 rural villages now.. We have seen women lifted to understand their worth; men have joined us by helping their female family members by realizing all the women do because of classes we teach.  We have directly slowed ‘vanishing’ villages by educating women who tend to remain in place while males generally leave for the big city or other countries.  We have witnessed healthier people because of the water, and the animals’ health directly improving because of the wells we have provided.  We have no sex trading or trafficking in any of our villages and infanticide is eradicated in our villages. Our trainings for the women  to sustain themselves with skills allows them to provide health care to their families, education and food. We are producing trained and skilled women who have never before been considered as important. We haven’t removed the warring aspect going on internally in Nepal, but our peace classes as taught in our school do teach the children about peace since they nor their parents have ever seen it. Do you think we have a great deal to celebrate at our Tivoli Terrace 10 Year Anniversary fundraising bash on March 28, 5:30-8:30 p.m.?  We do! We have appetizers, cash bar, opportunity drawing; live auction with great items such as: private plane tours over Los Angeles and Orange County; a night time helicopter flight over Orange County by the well known Commander Chuck Street formally with KIIS/FM; an incredible sculpture by artist Joe Sovella; sailing and more; a large silent auction with items ranging from new handmade quits, jewelry, wine, plants,… well too much to share. Music by Joe  Baldwin and Jheri St.James Belly Dancing Troupe; Gita Silwal of Nepal performing a traditional Nepali folk dance… all MC’d by Commander Chuck Street.  Come join us!   R*www.RStarFoundation.org949 497 4911
