The Laguna Beach branch of AAUW invites members and potential members to this special opening of our program year. Our annual Membership Mixer, this year set in a beautiful Laguna Niguel home, offers an ideal opportunity to get to know long-time, new and prospective members in a relaxed and informal setting.
It’s also a chance to hear about the goals and achievements of AAUW, as well as preview the many stimulating programs and special interest groups scheduled for the coming year. We are particularly delighted to welcome the new principal of Laguna Beach High School, Dr. Joanne Culverhouse, who will speak on “Women in Education.” Two recipients of our Returning Woman Scholarships will also share inspiring stories about their educational journeys.
Plan to bring a friend/potential new member. A special discount from $85.00 to $60.50 is available to anyone who joins on this date.
When: Sunday, September 18, 2011, 3:00-5:00 p.m.
