Don’t Get Soaked Buying Laguna Beach Real Estate

Laguna Beach Real Estate agent, HIllary Caston, is determined to make her clients happy in rain or shine, and RAIN it was Cats and Dogs.

I guess its part of my nature…I have to ensure your complete satisfaction when buying Laguna Beach real estate. Come rain or shine.

And this past Sunday, the rain definitely came…and came, and came. My clients were scheduled to see a gorgeous Laguna Niguel home that afternoon. The skies were gray but dry.

Then at 3:45 – THE DOWNPOUR – minutes before my clients were to arrive at the house.

“Hey,” I said to myself. “I’ve sold tons of Laguna Beach real estate. Homes and water are par for the course. This water just happens to originate from a slightly different direction.”

I resolved to turn this negative into a positive – as I routinely do. I became Orange County’s first and only rainy day realtor! Bear in mind, very few people go house-hunting in the midst of a deluge. But these clients were determined. And so was I. The showing was on!

My first move was preparing the home for my guests. You know, make it nice and cozy and comfy. I should have packed a rowboat. The road leading this Laguna Niguel home was now the Mississippi River. But, as promised, I was going turn all the gray into sunlight. I half-waded to the front door, eased myself in, and surveyed the territory. Things looked good at first glance. Clean and comfortable. And that’s exactly what I wanted my clients to be.

I opened the garage so they could just roll right in and enter the home through the connecting door – dry, warm, and happy. Alright, I’d provided my clients with a complimentary docking bay. But they’d be there in minutes. And I hadn’t checked things out. I conducted one of my patented express inspections, zooming around the house eyeballing things like faucets, water heater, stove, and furnace. All got the Hillary Caston A+ rating. I paused to take a breath. Whew! The house was ready. So was I.

My clients arrived dry and in good spirits. And I wasn’t about to dampen them with a weather complaint. Instead, I flashed a smile that lit up the room. “Isn’t this awesome?!” I encouraged, pointing at the ceiling. “At least we’ll know if there are leaks.” A thunderclap rumbled through the house. The gods were pleased. So were my clients.
