Day 7: "Coastal Chic at Aliso Creek" Collectors Soiree - Huge Success!

On Saturday October 19th, 2013, the sold out soiree was held in a 9,000 square foot custom built and lit pavilion on the property of the Aliso Creek Inn.  Sounds of crickets and frogs filled the air as VIP guests entered into the magical plein air pavilion, where they were greeted with a champagne reception.  During the reception, event sponsors and their guests met the artists and got an early look at the extraordinary art created throughout the week.  The 350+ guests were treated to hors d'oeuvres and an extravagant buffet created by Chef Alessandro Pirozzi of Mare Culinary Lounge and Alessa Laguna Beach.  Global Beat Foundation filled the air with the sound of chilled out beats and exotic world rhythms.  A special musical guest appearance was made by internationally acclaimed classical inspired guitarist and Laguna local Eric Henderson. This year's Invitational exceeded expectations not only in sales but in attendance.  This has been LPAPA's most successful fundraising event to date.  "It has been my personal mission and pleasure to ensure  that the tradition of plein air painting continues in Laguna Beach, home of the Artists" Julie Padach-Mathewson, Director of Development of LPAPA and Event Co-Chair.
