Alleged Starbucks Gas Mask Robber Pleads Not Guilty

The Orange County District Attorney has charged Kyle Kamal Starner of Laguna Niguel with four felonies stemming from robberies at a Local Starbucks and frozen yogurt shop.

, pleaded not guilty to four felony counts of robbery and burglary related to recent holdups at a local Starbucks and a Swirlz yogurt shop. 

According to the Orange County District Attorney, Starner allegedly held up a Laguna Niguel frozen yogurt shop in November and a week later wore a gas mask while robbing a Starbucks in the same plaza.

Starner was taken into custody in Laguna Beach after he was spotted walking around town in an "extremely intoxicated" state and carrying a gas mask, Sheriff's Department spokesman Jim Amormino said.

Starner is charged with two counts of second-degree robbery by means of force and two counts of second-degree commercial burglary.

He is scheduled to be back in court on Dec. 12 for a pretrial hearing.

So I did some digging on this guy. He pleaded guilty to petty theft charge. Sentenced on Nov 27th 2012, 3 years Probation, $25.00 Fines, 14 days Jail & Restitution.

Tony, first of all we have very lenient judges in OC, so probably no more than a slap on the had will EVER happen. Did you see the video that was posted on Patch several days ago? No doubt who it was...and according the family "it just isn't his character to do this". So again our OC judges could just look at the video & say it wasn't him either & he can run around & do this until someone gets hurt. It was so easy to do the first robbery & the sentence was so light, why not do it again? We are also dealing with a kid from LB that is robbing homes here in LN, was arrested judge slapped him on the hand & two weeks later he DID IT AGAIN, are you surprised? I'm not surprised by ANY of this. Both of them could be at your door next or even my door. It's no wonder people are buying guns like they are going out of style.
