Costa Mesa Woman Busted Here for DUI and Child Endangerment Saturday

A woman was arrested Saturday night for driving under the influence after the car she was driving into Laguna Beach via Laguna Canyon Road crossed into the outbound lane of traffic and struck another car head-on.

Abigail Wilson, 31, from Costa Mesa, also had three children in the car with her at the time of the accident, which caused an hour-long traffic tie-up alert in the canyon in both directions. Two of the kids suffered minor injuries in the crash and were treated at the scene. All three were eventually taken into care by Orangewood Children's Home in Orange after no adult figure could be found to house them. The children's father is a registered sex offender who lives in Arizona.

According to Laguna Beach Police, Wilson may face other charges besides the DUI, including willful child cruelty, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, and bringing a controlled substance into a prison or jail.
