CRIME: Scraggly Man Eyes High School Girls, Kids Skate on Roof

The following are selected reports from the Laguna Beach Police Department dispatch log over the past few days.

At 2:15 a.m. Friday, police and paramedics responded to a traffic accident a half mile past the rout 73 junction with Laguna Canyon Road. One person was thrown from a vehicle and had to be taken to Mission Hospital in critical condition.

Police arrested a 32-year-old man at 9:16 a.m. Thursday at the 800 block of 13th Street on suspicion of possessing burglary tools.

At 6:06 p.m. Wednesday, a resident reported that someone in a white Range Rover hit his vehicle near the intersection of El Toro Road and State Route 73.

At 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, a caller from the drug store on the 200 block of Broadway Street reported that two men -- one of them with a long, white beard -- were smoking marijuana and urinating in the alley.

At 4:17 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a transformer fire and downed power lines at the 300 block of Holly Street. Firefighters arrived at the scene, but the fire hadn't spread. Workers from Southern California Edison were called to the scene to repair the lines.

At 2:48 p.m. Monday a business owner on South Cast Highway called to complain that 20 to 30 abortion protesters were blocking his business.

At 12:22 p.m. Monday a caller from Laguna Beach High School called to complain about a 40-year-old-man with a scraggly moustache was eyeing high school girls in the pool.

At 11:48 a.m Monday a caller reported two drivers in an argument throwing things at each other out their car windos near the intersection of North Coast Highway and Beverly Street.

At 10:11 a.m. Monday a caller reported a grand theft at the 1900 block of Coast Highway.

At 10:02 a.m. at the 1200 block of Glenneyre Street, a caller reported kids skateboarding on the roof and messing up the tiles. The caller said it was unclear how the skaters got up there.
