Laguna Beach Community "Played Nice" Over Memorial Day Weekend

The Laguna Beach PD reports few incidents over the long weekend and the exact same number of DUI arrests as last year.

Laguna Beach residents and those who visited the city over the Memorial Day Weekend apparently were well behaved and involved in few incidents, according to the Laguna Beach Police Department.

“The weekend was extremely quiet for us. Nothing too out of the ordinary,” said Lt. Jason Kravetz, Investigations and Support Services Division Commander, in an email.

The LBPD conducted a “Memorial Day Saturation Patrol: on Friday and Saturday night, which lead to 10 DUI arrests, said Lt. Kravetz. Most of the reports involved moving, parking or pedestrian violations.
