Man Arrested for Residential Burglary

Kyle Alan Veach, 22, is accused of burglarizing a Hillcrest Avenue home.

News release from the Laguna Beach Police Department:

Detectives from the Laguna Beach Police Department Wednesday arrested Kyle Alan Veach, 22, of Indianapolis, for residential burglary. Veach is accused of burglarizing a home in the 800 block of Hillcrest Drive on March 8. He was taken into custody at the Costa Mesa Police Department when he went to retrieve property from an earlier arrest.

On the day of the burglary, the victim had been out running errands when he returned home to find Veach exiting his residence. He asked him what he was doing, but Veach ran. When the victim entered his home, he saw that it had been partially ransacked.  Of the stolen items, there were many personal checks missing from a desk drawer.
