Police Issues Traffic Advisory Ahead of President's Visit to Orange County

The president will speak at the commencement ceremony at UC Irvine.

In an effort to assist the public in avoiding possible traffic congestion during the visit of Pres. Barack Obama on Saturday, the following areas of Orange County should be avoided when possible to prevent travel delays for community members:

  • North and Southbound Closure of PCH (CA 1) from Newport Coast Drive in Newport Beach to Ledroit Street in Laguna Beach from 8:30 a.m. to 8:50 a.m.
  • North and Southbound Closure of PCH (CA 1) from Newport Coast Dr. in Newport Beach to Ledroit St. in Laguna Beach from 10 a.m. to 10:20 a.m.
  • Katella Ave and Douglas Road closures in Anaheim from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m
  • CA57 North and Southbound closure at Katella Ave in Anaheim from 1 p.m. to 1:10 p.m.

This information has been provided to the public with the approval of the U.S. Secret Service.  Any additional questions related to President Obama’s visit will be referred to the U.S. Secret Service.
