US Bank Robbed in Downtown Laguna Beach

From the Laguna Beach Police Department:

The Laguna Beach Police Communications Center received a 911 call at 11:58 a.m on Wednesday, July 17. A US Bank employee told dispatchers that the bank had just been robbed and a male suspect had left the building. No weapon was seen by the bank teller nor was one simulated. The suspect simply placed a hand written note on the counter indicating he was robbing the bank.

Dispatchers quickly obtained a suspect description and dispatched police personnel to 310 Glenneyre Street. A perimeter was set up and the bank was searched while other officers began a search of the downtown area for the suspect.

Witnesses were able to direct officers toward the suspects last known location and direction of travel.

At 1:03 p.m., an officer saw a male at the bus stop at Jasmine and North Coast Highway that fit the description of the bank robbery suspect. After identifying the suspect and further investigation, Kyle Alan Veach was arrested for violation of CPC Robbery and a parole hold. The money stolen from the bank was recovered.

In Custody: Kyle Alan Veach, a 24 year old white, adult, dob 1/30/1989, with no known permanent address.
