Margaret (Maggie) Hanson, C.P.A. has been appointed by Treasurer Laura Parisi, C.P.A., CCMT to the role of deputy treasurer. Maggie has over 20 years of senior financial management experience including portfolio management, California government accounting and auditing experience while employed with a “big four” CPA firm. She currently is employed by Resources Global Professionals as a consultant. She will serve as deputy treasurer on a pro bono basis. The deputy treasurer has not been called upon in the past but would perform the treasury duties of investment, banking, bond administrator, assessment district trustee and transient occupancy tax reviews in the event that the elected city treasurer cannot perform her duties. Maggie and her husband are Laguna Beach residents and homeowners.
