Get Out: What To Do This Weekend in Laguna Beach

Catch a thrilling foreign film, feel the excitement of LBHS playoff football, occupy Main Beach, do Sawdust's Winter Fantasy and hit up Laguna High's holiday boutique.

LAGUNA BEACH FILM SOCIETY PROTEKTOR SCREENING
WHERE/WHEN? Pre-show reception Thursday at 6 p.m. at , 307 Cliff Drive. The film screening will take place at 7 p.m. at , 162 South Coast Highway.
WHY GO? The Laguna Beach Film Society invites you for wine and hors d'ouevres, and to chat about films at the LAM. Then stroll down to the theater with fellow film aficianados and watch Protektor, a thriller about Czechoslovakia at the beginning of the German occupation in 1938. For more information, CLICK HERE.
PRICE: Screenings and reception are free to LBFS Members, $20 for guests and public. Screening tickets available at South Coast Cinema: $15 general, $10 for students with valid ID.

CIF-SS SOUTHERN DIVISION PLAYOFF GAME (FIRST ROUND), LAGUNA BEACH HIGH AT ANAHEIM
WHERE/WHEN? Glover Stadium in Anaheim's La Palma Park at the corner of West La Palma Ave. and North Anaheim Blvd. Friday, 7 p.m.

OCCUPY MAIN BEACH
WHERE/WHEN? The beach at Broadway and Coast Highway. Saturday, 11 a.m.
WHY GO? To quote Occupy Together's website, "Show solidarity with those chilling on Wall Street." Whether you agree or disagree, go and be a part of history as an observer or a participant. For more information, CLICK HERE.

SAWDUST FESTIVAL WINTER FANTASY
WHERE/WHEN? Sawdust Fest grounds, 935 Laguna Canyon Road. Starting Saturday and continuing for four weekends, Nov. 19-20, 25-27, Dec. 3-4 and 10-11. 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
WHY GO?  Put on your winter clothes, sip a cup of hot cocoa, and get in the mood for the holidays. More than 170 exhibitors will be on hand making and selling their arts and crafts. There will be complimentary and low-cost art projects for young and old, lots of different kinds of entertainment, and even a visit from Santa Claus. Also, Saturday's tree-lighting ceremony with Mayor Toni Iseman goes off at 5:30 p.m. For more information, CLICK HERE.
PRICE: $6 adult one-day, $5 senior one-day, $3 children (6-12) one-day, free for children 5 and under. $9 season pass. Group discounts available. All military and their family members are admitted free with military ID. 

LAGUNA BEACH HIGH SCHOOL HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE
WHERE/WHEN? In the main quad of Laguna Beach High, 625 Park Avenue. Saturday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
WHY GO? The money you spend on unique items benefits the PTA of Laguna Beach High. Plus, you can't go wrong with yummy baked items and music performed by Laguna Beach elementary school and high school students. For more information, CLICK HERE.
