Holiday Trash Schedule; Tree Recycling Info; New Friday Flick at FOA

And more in Laguna Beach City Manager John Pietig's weekly update ....

News update from Laguna Beach City Manager John Pietig:

Holiday trash collection schedule and Tree Recycling - Residential and commercial trash pick-up schedules will be delayed by one day through the two holiday weeks. Residents who receive service on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday should place their carts out for pick-up one day later than usual during these two weeks.  Waste Management will collect and recycle holiday trees on the regular collection day, at no charge, between Wednesday, December 26 and Friday, January 18. Trees must be cut to lengths less than four feet. Decorations, tinsel, metal ornaments, and metal stands must be removed from the trees. Flocked trees will be collected but cannot be made into compost due to their chemical content.  After January 18, a tree can also be recycled by cutting it up and placing it in the green waste cart.

No Holiday Street Sweeping - There will be no street sweeping on Tuesday December 25 and Tuesday January 1, and there will be no parking enforcement for those streets posted for street sweeping on those days.
