Is It Impossible to Have a Truly Bike and Pedestrian-Friendly Laguna?

A public talk on Thursday will probe the issue that never seems to have an end.

Other than parking and traffic control, Laguna Beach's bicycle and pedestrian safety issue is one that never seems to have an end. Look no further than Les Miklosy's excellent Laguna Streets blog for that history right here ...

This Thursday, that conversation will continue in the form of a presentation and panel discussion on what can be done to make the city more bike-and-walk friendly, in part using examples of how other cities have tackled this problem.

The panelists include Frank Peters, an Internet radio talk show host and bike enthusiast; Pete van Nuys, Executive Director of the Orange County Bicycle Coalition; and Laguna Beach Planning Commission chair Norm Grossman.
