Tonight's Name-Changing City Council Meeting Agenda!

At tonight's meeting, the Laguna Beach City Council is expected to, among other things:

  • Ratify the Memorandum of Understanding between the Laguna Beach Police Employees' Association and the City.
  • Hear a status update on implementation of the City’s Climate Protection Action Plan developed by the Environmental Committee and adopted by the Council in 2009.
  • Authorize the Patriots Day Parade Committee to hold its parade on March 3, 2012; post "no parking" signs on Ocean Avenue, the parade route and assembly areas; post "bus parking only" signs on outbound Laguna Canyon Road between Forest Avenue and Woodland Drive; close designated streets from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and authorize use of public address systems.
  • Set a public hearing for February 7, 2012, to change Clarisa Avenue and Sorce Lane to Castle Rock Road; change the existing non-uniform neighborhood address assignment to a two digit system; and direct staff to prepare the necessary public noticing.

There will also be the usual grab-bag of approvals of minutes, denials of claims, awardings of contracts, receiving of reports, stuff about stuff, and much, much more!
