Tuesday's Firecrackin' Laguna Beach City Council Meeting Agenda!

At the April 23 meeting on Tuesday, the Laguna Beach City Council is expected to, among other things ...

  • Award a contract to Pyro Spectaculars in the amount of $28,000 for the 2013 annual Fourth of July fireworks show.
  • Authorize Mayor Boyd to send a letter to the City’s Federal legislative representatives opposing President Obama’s proposed FY-2014 budget due to the cap that it would place on tax exempt interest from municipal bonds.
  • Approve the use of three canopies, tables for registration and player first-aid/massage, and amplified sound for the 2013 Laguna Open volleyball tournament.
  • Vote on a proposal for a 70.45% historic preservation parking reduction incentive and a recommendation by the Planning Commission for the removal and replacement of three ficus trees in front of the new restaurant being planned for 222 Ocean Ave., Dom DeMarco's Pizzaria & Bar.

There will also be the usual grab-bag of approvals of minutes, denials of claims, awardings of contracts, receiving of reports, stuff about stuff, and much, much more!
